Alright. Well that didn't go well lol. So I guess I should start out by saying that I initially was not going to try to come back. I joined another game because I wasn't super crazy about what this game was turning into and I just kind of wanted to start new. Plus, I wasn't a fan of how people almost talked to me through Sierra and Matty. But I got idol blindsided in that other game (ugh) and hate the feeling of not being in a game so I decided to try to come back. And I'm pretty sure I was the only prejuror who made a legitimate attempt. Not that it mattered. I ultimately wasted 3 and a half hours of my life because all that had to happen for me to get back in the game was for Matty to do what he did. Instead, I helped Steph get back in the game by going for as long as I did which normally would be awesome but I'll get to that later.
So I'm in back in the game and I am excited. Back to the old habit of no one talking to me but I don't care. I'm back with my crew of Sierra and Matty and we now have Sierra Dawn. We also had 2 more numbers based on how many people voted for Steph to come back in. This would imply Courtney and Na'Onka (who recently talked to Sierra about flipping) but the issue was that Brandon wholeheartedly claimed that he voted for Steph to come back. Normally I would completely disregard what the rat says but Steph mentioned in prejury that she had an alliance with him and they seem to be close. And I also don't trust Nay at all. And Courtney is really close to Ian and may have voted with him. I assumed that Courtney was with us but whether Nay was actually with us or not was a toss up. I was leaning towards no.
So Steph comes back and I'm really excited. We should have at least six (assuming Brandon was the sixth vote for Steph because he won't vote with us regardless). I was pretty much willing to vote for anyone from the other side, even Alec sine he voted me out. We ultimately decided on Coach which was my preference because he talks to me the least, will probably piss that side off the least, and, I mean, c'mon. He pretty much has to get prejury LOL. So we tell Sierra Dawn, Courtney, and Steph. That's six and we only need one more. Sierra keeps talking to Nay and thinks that they're becoming friends and that it would be awful of Nay to turn on her. But I don't trust Nay and I do think she would lie to us (however unnecessary it is) so I decide to talk to Ian. I'm close to Ian and I know Courtney is so I figure I may be able to flip him. I end up talking to him and basically phrase it as if I'm in the middle with him and that we're swing votes. He says that he heard it's between Sierra (a lie) and Brandon (a lie). I decide to try to steer him towards Coach because he does seem on the fence. He wants to vote out a threat (Sierra) but someone who doesn't talk to him (Brandon). I suggest middle ground because Coach is a threat who doesn't really talk to either of us. He's not actually a threat obviously but I just need him to be willing to vote Coach. So now he knows how we're voting (I took a leap because an idol seemed unlikely). I just need him to actually vote with us. We debate it a bit and keep some general phrases that don't really choose a side. And then he actually blatantly says 5 minutes before the deadline that he'll just decide in 4 minutes. I've never seen an odder strategy. So yeah I realize he isn't voting with us. I figure we can flip him on the revote because he won't go to rocks over Coach.
And then the votes come out. 6-5-1 with Courtney going. WHAT?!?!? Because Steph self-voted!!!! WHAT THE FUCK?!?! Now at first it seemed intentional. She self-voted to avoid picking a side. The old Peter Harkey strategy. I was pretty pissed but then she started posting on the board and tried to get her bootlist recognized. So I was hopeful because she wouldn't do that if she hadn't posted one. Now her "bootlist" was just the list we had to make (which is could be argued was a bootlist since it was a ranking of everyone in the game but I also see why it wasn't counted) so whatever. But then I thought more about it and the more paranoid I get the more I think that it could have been her knowing that it wouldn't be counted and arguing on the board for show just to get it denied. Steph never seems to put that much effort into these so idk how likely it is but it is definitely a possibility. As far as this round, I'm pretty furious and not ready to be picked off. I resumed my deal with Fabio for us to keep each other safe until a time when we can work together fully and I'm staying cordial with Alec. But I also don't want all of my friends and allies to be picked off. I have to figure out a way to make sure that doesn't happen which is what I'm working on atm. Things don't look great but I'll get out of this somehow.
